Would You Care to Come for a Spin?

By SpringDale on Mon 26th Jul 2010

Do you have, or know someone who has, a spinning wheel somewhere in the house?

Why not drag it out and enjoy this relaxing pastime in the cold winter months. Australia grows the best fleece in the world and nothing is as warm as a garment made from handspun fleece.

We even have a wheel at SpringDale where you can have a go.

Whether you are a beginner or someone who wishes to brush up on an old skill, I would love to hear from you and we may be able to arrange a time to get together. Please contact me through the SpringDale office on (03) 5253 1960.

    Looking forward to meeting you.

    Sharing of Wisdom Group

By SpringDale on Mon 7th Jun 2010

Sharing of opinions might be a better description of what this group does, though it is hoped all participants may emerge from the sessions with added wisdom.

The group discusses whatever subjects and issues participants may like to raise, with the reservation that advocating for particular political parties or religions is not acceptable. The discussions are held in an accepting atmosphere, with all opinions welcomed and listened to with respect. All comers are welcome. Personal matters which come up in the discussions are treated as confidential.

The group meets on the first Friday of each month, at the SpringDale Neighbourhood Centre, from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
